Birds, Art & Mallee ...
a Uniquely Weird World.

Dear #firstname#

T his month we're pleased to present two very personal stories.

Kathy and Vicky are from wildy different backgrounds but their passions converge over one of Australia's curious landscapes and the wildlife that lives within.

Award-winning South Australian artist Kathy Brown grew up in mallee country. It takes her two years to create a single artwork - to tell the story of one bird. Her greatest fear is that her subjects' time is running out.

Vicky came from Germany to settle in outback Western Australia. In her story and film she describes how a special moment with Malleefowl convinced her to spend her life working with local communities and landowners to conserve these wonderful birds.

If you haven't yet decided what to do in the New Year, we still have a few spots left on our Heron Island Wildlife and Photography Expedition in mid-January. Also coming up in early February is the Australian Wooden Boat Festival and Tawe Nunnagah (one of Australia's most exciting sailing events that you've almost certainly never heard of).

Have a great spring and keep an eye on our 'Specials' section at We know you'll love some of the exciting trip opportunities we are developing for 2015.

All the best,

Simon Mustoe
